Terms of service

Narratomi is an early-stage tool for authoring branching narrative games and sharing them as playable links. These terms are short because the service is small; they will grow as it does. Using Narratomi means you accept them.

Accounts

You need an account (email and password) to author. Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your account is yours to answer for. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the acceptable-use policy.

Your content

Stories, scripts, assets, and everything else you create or upload stay yours. We claim no ownership. You grant us the license we need to operate the service: to store your content, sync it between collaborators, and serve published stories to whoever holds the link. That license ends for content you delete, minus whatever backups take to expire.

Acceptable use

The acceptable-use policy is part of these terms. Break it and we remove the content and may close the account.

Published stories

Publishing makes a story available at a public link to anyone holding it. You can unpublish at any time and the link stops serving. We aim to keep published stories up but this is an early-stage service with no uptime guarantee and no SLA, so do not build anything load-bearing on a share link.

Billing and refunds

Paid plans are billed by subscription, monthly or annually, per account (Team plans per seat). AI credit top-ups and play packs are one-time purchases; they never expire. You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal in Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and the plan runs until then.

If a paid plan is not working out, we will refund the first subscription charge on request within 14 days of it. Credit and play packs are non-refundable once any part of them has been consumed. To request a refund, email [email protected].

Prices exclude tax. Applicable taxes are computed and collected at checkout based on your billing address.

AI co-writer

The AI co-writer sends your prompts and relevant project context to a hosted AI provider and returns its output as suggestions. To the extent we hold any rights in that output, we assign them to you. Because the same models serve everyone, output may be similar or identical to output other people receive, and neither we nor the provider can promise exclusivity in it. You are responsible for what you keep: review AI suggestions before publishing them as you would your own writing, and do not represent AI-generated output as human-authored where that distinction matters. Providers apply their own content policies and terms on top of ours.

Copyright notices

If you believe content on Narratomi infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] identifying the work, the allegedly infringing content and its location, and your contact details. Under Canada’s notice-and-notice regime we forward valid notices to the account holder responsible for the content and retain records of notices and forwarding as the law requires. Sending a notice does not by itself result in content removal; content that violates these terms or the acceptable-use policy is handled under those.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your data. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; if practical we will tell you why. If we ever shut the service down we will give reasonable notice so you can export your work.

Disclaimer and limitation

Narratomi is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of the service. This is an early-stage service — free to start, with optional paid plans — so use it accordingly and keep your own backups of anything you cannot lose. For paid plans, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Narratomi after that means you accept the new terms.
